It’s that time of year again (“oh no it isn’t….” “OH YES IT IS!”) Dunstable Panto 2021 will be opening from December 10th to January 3rd 2022!
This year will be a Genie-us performance of Aladdin with Will Kenning returning as the hugely hilarious character of the Dame – Widow Twanky!
I was invited to join The Grove Theatre and the Production team from Evolution Pantomines to photograph the cast ready for upcoming PR.
I was greeted by Kate from Evolution who was quick to offer me free reign on photographing her Panto colleagues! Music to my ears, I knew the brief and to have the ability to offer my added creativity excited me!
So, Dunstable Panto 2021 features the amazing Richard David-Caine, most known for his role as Line from CBeebies Swashbuckle, as Abanazar – let me tell you now, you’ll be in for a treat when you see him in the show, his personality is infectious – such a witty man with such charisma. The show also features Will Kenning as Aladdin’s mum, Widow Twanky – I couldn’t stop laughing from the moment I met Will, such an animated person, he slips straight into his character as soon as the wig and makeup go on, a true super star! Genie is to be played by Duane Gooden – he is a force to be reckoned with, such a talent – talk about getting into character – Duane has such a presence when on the stage, funny and you can definitely tell he is excited to be released from the lamp!
Once again, the show will be written and directed by Paul Hendy and produced with Evolution, the same team behind the Box Office smash-hit, Peter Pan.
We had such a great time with all of the cast and staff at Grove Theatre Dunstable and I have already booked tickets for the show – so why not book yours today – an event not to be missed – Dunstable Panto 2021.
